Virtual Tour of HPC Wales Network

High Performance Computing (HPC) Wales is a company formed between the Universities and the private sector in Wales. Host to the UK’s largest distributed supercomputing network, HPC Wales provides integrated supercomputing services for businesses and researchers across Wales and beyond.

Supercomputing has the capacity to handle and analyse massive amounts of data at high speed, powering breakthroughs in product, process and service development and boosting business competitiveness. When Atticus was commissioned to work with HPC Wales, we knew that a combination of video, 3D animation and interactive content would be ideal to promote the concept of supercomputing. We filmed several case studies of businesses and projects that have benefited from HPC Wales’ services, including one for the Bloodhound supersonic car.
Atticus also produced an interactive touch-screen virtual tour of HPC Wales’ distributed services. Click here to view the Virtual Tour

App Development

The amount of apps that we've developed for clients worldwide has drastically increased as of late.

Since our last newsletter that featured the "Keep the lights on" game, we've developed a range of different apps, all of which vastly differ in their function and purpose. Augmented reality, presentational apps, games, promotional apps, guides, virtual tours, information portals... the list goes on. And with our app development sparking some great ideas off new and existing clients, we're certainly not short of upcoming projects either.
We are a registered Apple Developer and have already produced several Apps on the iOS platform. Whether you're looking for a complex application, a game or a simple presentation give us a call to find out more (+44) 29 20415444.

Silbury Chartered Accountants Animation

Humour and chartered accountants seldom go hand in hand, but that hasn't stopped Silbury from giving its all.

For this accounting organisation, we've put together an animation that sits on the home page (and now their branded USB cards), that's aims to make the whole business more appealing, more inviting and giving a positive outlook.
The animation, with inspiration from Saul Bass, shows a comparison between your average accountant, and Silbury chartered accountants. While one gets frustrated easily, the other is cool, calm and relaxed.
After creating this video, we're starting to wonder why we don't have a dancing flower on our cabinets. It could make the team more motivated. Or scared.

Gross Food Guide

With a dose of disgusting. The Gross Food Guide sets about exploring the world for bizarre food that, for many folk, is pretty stomach-turning. Even so, this unique and fun guide is aimed at encouraging children to try new foods and highlights the fact that different cultures enjoy different things. It will be presented in a fun and lively app packed with games and bursting at the seams with maggots, caterpillars and information about the different foods of the world.
The project is one of many projects that are taking advantage of Crowd Funding. This particular project is being funded by Matthew Yeomans through 'IndieGoGo', and is a great way of sourcing funds through the aid of donations.
If successful, Atticus will produce the app which will be presented by four characters known as "Olive", "Pickle", "Dill", and "Sprout", who will feature throughout the guide. Within the app, we'll be producing games and other very cool stuff. Help us fund the Gross Food Guide
